Palmers Green was blessed with a wonderful and sunny Sunday which set the mood for a much anticipated Palmers Green Festival. Range Homes was present and was a proud sponsor of the ‘Palmers Scream‘ stand, located behind the Broomfield House.
Karl Brown and his team did a great job at informing local residents and visiting families of the activities taking place on the 31st of October, including the legend of the Southgate Witches. For those unaware, this is the legend of the 21 witches entombed in concrete and under the protective ring of the 9 willow trees of Broomfield Park. However the 9th willow tree is now dying and that is an omen for their return. Our job is to prevent this with happiness and our presence at the event on Halloween.
With that said the response was very positive and the bemusement on children’s faces was evident, this in turn added to our excitement when we arrived and realised what a great turnout the festival had. Being situated near the ‘Talkies’ stand we were pleased to see that David Williamson’s other stand was gathering a lot of interest as well.
The event boasted music from a collection of artists and had an assortment of stalls ranging from gourmet foods to salsa dancing, making the festival a great family day out in the beloved park of the Enfield community. Range Homes will continue to be involved with the preparations leading up to the event in which we hope to see a lot of familiar and new faces.
Congratulations to the winners of the story writing competition.
